I had the pleasure of meeting Nolea Giering, Owner and Lead Photographer of Captivated Beauty Photography. She offered some great insight for newly engaged couples and informed me of her favorite wedding moment. I hope you enjoy this short and sweet vendor spotlight!
What do you love most about photographing weddings?
I love photographing weddings because you get those absolute “I love everything about you”& such true happiness photos.
What is your favorite wedding memory?
My favorite wedding memory would have to be when a bride included her father in the wedding even though he was too ill to attend. She took his photo & put it inside of her bouquet.
Do you have a favorite wedding photo?
That’s a tough question, as there are so many favorites, but yes, I definitely do have a favorite.
Any advice you can provide for those thinking about starting a wedding photography business?
RESEARCH!!!! And be open to learning! There is no specific price for your talent, but don’t ever sell yourself short!
From a photographers standpoint, do you have any advice for couples looking for a wedding photographer? What about those who already booked and are trying to prepare for the big day?
Make sure you look at all aspects of what a photographer has to offer. The saying “you get what you pay for” isn’t always true. Memories shouldn’t break the bank. Be open to those just starting out & most of all….be patient. “Rome wasn’t built in a day”
